The event begins @ 0600 and wraps up @ 1200\, with everyone and everything clear of the parking lot NLT 1300. Anyone found there after 1300 will be fed to the Alligators. 🙂  The church is located @ 6225 Lake Gray Blvd accessible from I-295/Collins Rd or I-295/Blanding Blvd. Bring LOTS of cash and collect lots of new gadgets. We all need more stuff.

SUMMARY:Museum Ships On the Air Weekend 2025
DESCRIPTION:The annual Museum Ships on the Air Weekend is a non-contest event for amateur radio operators. The event allows amateur radio operators to contact museum ships and participate in a unique “on-the-air” experience.  It’s held annually the first weekend in June\, beginning at 0000Z on the first day and running through 2359Z on the second day. \nIt’s open to museum ships and museums worldwide\, with ships from various countries participating.  Participants can operate on any amateur frequency\, with many ships operating in the general portion of the bands. The event is not limited to a specific location\, as it involves ships from around the world. \nShips like the USS Orleck\, USS Silversides\, and others participated in the 2023 and 2024 events.  The USS Orleck in Jacksonville\, Florida\, is a museum ship that participates in the event\, offering tours and broadcast locations. \nMany museum ships are members of the Historic Naval Ships Association.

We will be broadcasting on HF bands mainly\, but you may be able to catch us our new downtown Jacksonville repeater WJ4DD.

The first one is a class covering the correct installation of Coax Connectors on RG-8x. You can expect to learn how to properly crimp on connectors as well as soldering and everyone will go home with a three foot jumper. You don’t have to bring anything however if you have crimp tools\, etc\, and soldering equipment\, bring it along. The Coax class is this weekend\, to be held in a classroom upstairs at the Hogan Baptist Church. The class convenes @ 10:00 sharp!
