When: Saturday June 27th 08:00 AM through Sunday, June 28th 2026 3:00 PM. It is likely that radio operations will continue around the clock from 2:00 PM Saturday to 2:00 PM Sunday.
Where: Behind Hogan Road Baptist Church 8045 Hogan Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32216 THANK YOU HOGAN BAPTIST CHURCH!
Why:    To introduce new hams to operating HF Radio!
To learn and practice setting up ham radio gear in less-than-optimal conditions.
To learn new ham radio skills.
To Learn and to Practice Emergency Communication Skills!
To have fun, socialize, and to make eye-ball QSOs with fellow hams!

Important Stuff:

• There are light poles with antenna support eyebolts and messenger ropes in numerous locations. These will pull an antenna wire up to roughly 25-30 feet. First come, First serve.
• If you have RF notch filters for HF frequencies, they will be of benefit to you as there may be multiple stations operating on the same bands simultaneously.
• There are numerous picnic tables under the pavilion. You may wish to bring a tarp to provide shade to you and your station equipment.
• Bring water! It’s hot out there!
• We will be operating under Special Event Call Sign K4D!

Other Important Stuff:

• We will need a small crew with weed eaters and blowers to trim and clean up around the Ball Field Pavilion on Saturday June 20th at 08:00 – 11:00 AM. Please RSVP to Todd Lovelace T.Lovelace@comcast.net if you can join us!
• RVs are welcome, first come first served based on available space. Tent campers are also welcome.
• Those that are interested may begin setting up antennas and other equipment after 2:00 PM on Friday June 26th.
• Dinner will be served on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 PM. Details to be determined.
• Restroom facilities will be available in the pavilion area.
